God’s Overwhelming Faithfulness

Who am I that the LORD God would be so kind to me?
Why would He shower His grace and mercy on me?

He has loved me from the beginning; I am His child.
He has done great things for me.      
Yes, He has done great things!

When my heart grieved over my own wandering child,
He never left my side.      
When quarrels increased and anger raged,      
He never left my side.
When a broken relationship continued to fracture,
He never left my side.
When the silence screamed and His voice seemed quiet,
He never left my side.
When it felt as though my heart was bleeding,
He never left my side.
When my tears fell like rain and rose as a flood,
He never left my side.
When I heard the shrieks of demons,      
He never left my side.      

Oh taste and see the bittersweet presence of the LORD.
Even when sorrow and misery surrounded me,
He never once left my side.      

Wait, He finally said, wait but hold on,
For My timing is perfect and My plan will accomplished.      

It is I who will change the hearts of My people.      
It is I who loves exceedingly well
It is I who will make all things news.      
Trust Me, look up and see.

Oh LORD God, how can I ever doubt again,
Your goodness and faithfulness?
You promised, You stayed, You worked, You saved.      
Your steadfast love endures forever.      

My heart overflows with thanksgiving.
My eyes flood the ground with joy.
I lift up my hands in humble gratitude.      
I offer my life to You.

My Savior, My Redeemer, the God who saves,
Whose hands carry my name,      
I offer my hands, with your help,      
To lift others from despair, sharing hope for a new day.

Behold, Lord God, you have done a new thing,
And we have perceived your good works.
With a smile and raised arms, I offer my thanks,
God, You’ve been so good to me.

What a mighty God we serve!
I will praise you even in the storm!
